On June 1-7, the tennis courts of the Ashgabat Multipurpose Stadium hosted a qualifying stage of the Asian Team Competions for athletes aged 12 years and under, organized by the International Tennis Federation.

Tennis players and coaches from Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan competed in the tournament.

The tournament was refereed by representatives of the International Tennis Federation. As a result of the competition, the national boys and girls national teams of Kazakhstan took the first place, the national boys and girls national teams of Uzbekistan took the second place, and the national boys and girls national teams of Turkmenistan took the third place.
